Broadway musical ‘Hamilton’ is set to extend its run in Singapore for an additional two weeks due to strong demand for tickets.

The award-winning production is scheduled to begin on April 19 and will now run until June 9 at Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands. Tickets have been on sale since mid-November, and will remain on sale through Marina Bay Sands’ ticketing website and Singapore ticketing agency SISTIC.

Base Entertainment Asia, which operates Sands Theatre, added that no further extensions will be possible. The Singapore shows are scheduled for 20:00 local time Tuesdays to Fridays, with further performances at 14:00 and 20:00 on Saturdays, and at 13:00 and 18:30 on Sundays.

It is the first time ‘Hamilton’ has been produced in Singapore, and forms part of the musical’s international tour. Singapore is the third stop on the tour, with the production having already stopped in Manila in the Philippines and is currently playing in Abu Dhabi until the end of March.

‘Hamilton’ first appeared on Broadway in New York in 2015.
