Ticket Arena unveils new app and website

Ticket Arena believes it is embarking on a “new era” following the launch of its new iOS app and revamped website.

The Leeds-based operator said its Event Genius development team have created new platforms that offer music fans easy access to event listings for thousands of club nights, gigs and festivals.

Ticket Arena, whose partners include Parklife Festival and Hideout Festival, said the website is faster, more secure and benefits from “a cleaner, more engaging design”. It also includes improved hubs for location, popular venues and brands.

The iOS app now allows fans to further personalise their browsing experience by saving custom filters that suit their own individual tastes.

Reshad Hossenally, managing director of Ticket Arena and Event Genius, said: “Our beautiful new app and website are amazing services that we’re proud to provide to fans. They’re fast, secure and make it easy to discover and buy tickets to live events near you, representing a new era on which we intend to build.”

The iOS app and website are powered by the company’s Event Genius online platform, which organisers and promoters use to add event listings and sell tickets. Event Genius has recently been upgraded with a virtual queuing system that increases the site’s defences against automated ticket buying bots.

The launch of the new site and app will be supported by a nationwide advertising campaign that will feature the company’s new consumer branding. It is part of a £3m (€3.5m/$3.8m) programme of expansion and improvements across the business, as reported by The Ticketing Business last week.

Hossenally added: “In the coming months we’ll be launching the app on Android and adding even more functionality, including Apple and Android Pay, as we continue to create even more personal and tailored ways to make sure you never miss out on tickets for your favourite artists, gigs or club nights.”
