The Professional Fighters League (PFL), a mixed martial arts league, has partnered with Web3 technology company CrossTower to offer NFT VIP experiences for fans.

The NFT (non-fungible token) VIP experiences will be built on the blockchain XRP Ledger (XRPL).

Together, PFL and CrossTower will release a limited number of NFT VIP tickets as part of the upcoming PFL Regular Season event on June 23 at OTE Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

Fans that purchase NFT VIP tickets will have access to VIP experiences that have never been offered to fans before. Experiences include access to exclusive SmartCage-side seating, the PFL’s ceremonial weigh-in the day before, and fighter meet-and-greets.

NFT VIP ticket-holders will also be able to enjoy use of a VIP entrance and hospitality within the arena, as well as access to behind-the-scenes PFL content before and after the event, and discounts and pre-sales for future events. Select purchases will also earn a chance to step inside the PFL SmartCage with their own PFL ring-walk and photograph opportunity.

PFL chief executive Peter Murray said: “We’re pleased to introduce our partnership with CrossTower to bring our PFL fans premium VIP experiences through blockchain technology.

“NFT ticketing creates a new way for PFL fans to engage with live PFL events, combining access to -buy experiences, real-world utility and digital ticketing.”

Kapil Rathi, CEO of CrossTower, added: “CrossTower is honoured to partner with PFL to offer enhanced ticketing experiences to PFL fans. These experiences have never been offered before to the PFL fanbase and we are thrilled to bring this exclusive access to PFL customers.

“The NFTs are built by CrossTower on the XRP Ledger, an open-source, energy efficient, and decentralised blockchain powered by a global developer community. The XRP Ledger’s decade of proven enterprise-grade capabilities makes it a superior blockchain for this experience, both for PFL and their fans.”
