Broadway Direct debuts app

Broadway Direct has simplified ticket purchasing for theatre fans through the launch of its first app.

The Broadway Direct app makes it easy for fans to buy tickets to over a dozen Broadway shows at the Nederlander Organization’s nine theatres in the famous New York district. Patrons can pick the exact seats they want in the theatre, and prepare for their next trip to Broadway with exclusive videos and other content.

Broadway Direct is the primary ticketing provider for all Broadway shows playing in Nederlander theatres and has long been providing Broadway experiences, selling over half a million tickets to theatregoers since its launch. Since the return of Broadway in late 2021, Broadway Direct has expanded, now selling tickets to shows in over 25 Broadway theatres.

A spokesperson said: “The ticketing experience on Broadway Direct provides customers the ability to select their seats, whether buying on a desktop or on a mobile device, with the option to easily switch between dates in their search for the perfect ticket.”

TicketSwap working with Easol

Resale marketplace TicketSwap has integrated with Easol in a bid to bring safer ticketing to UK events.

TicketSwap’s own SecureSwap technology is now available at all events managed by Easol, one of the largest ticketing platforms in the UK, to provide peace of mind for both sellers and buyers.

TicketSwap can enable its SecureSwap feature for a huge number of events managed via Easol, including Secret Garden Party & Defected Croatia.

The integration now allows old barcodes to be invalidated, new barcodes to be generated and a brand new ticket issued to the customer.

Mike Robinson, UK lead UK at TicketSwap, said: “This integration with a leading UK ticketing provider such as Easol is very exciting. It allows us to offer our Secure Swap function to all Easol partners, which will add an unrivalled level of security for promoters and fans alike during the resale process.”

JMU brings ticketing to new app

James Madison University Athletics has launched a new app designed to offer mobile ticketing, news alerts and more.

Powered by Sidearm Sports, the JMU Athletics app offers fans of the Virginia college a personalised mobile experience with the ability to manage tickets, shop for official JMU licensed merchandise and receive breaking news and score notifications for the teams they follow.

Fans of the NCAA sports programme are encouraged to use the JMU Athletics app as the primary method for managing their digital ticketing, which is required for entry to all JMU football and basketball events.
