Our weekly tech round-up from the world of ticketing and associated industries…
Vivid Seats’ ChatGPT first
Vivid Seats is launching what it claims to be the first live events plugin for OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Combining its own real-time data with ChatGPT technology, this Vivid Seats tool is meant to capture the robust consumer demand around live events and enhance the event discovery experience.
The company said fans can get inspired and have all their live event questions answered, making it easier and faster to decide on and find tickets to their next event. It will provide curated and personalised recommendations for fans who are looking to discover the best events to attend based on their current mood, new artists, and teams to see based on their current preference.
“This collaboration is another example of the ways we are leading the industry and pushing the boundaries of what’s next,” said Stan Chia, Vivid Seats’ chief executive. “As we continue to focus on the fan, this further strengthens our efforts to improve the live events consumer experience and provide fans with an even more inspired and intuitive way to check off their bucket lists.”
European Games hails app success
European Games 2023 officials have praised Atos for their work on delivering a comprehensive, one-stop platform for the recent multi-sport event in Poland.
Overall, 40,000 sport fans used the platform to seamlessly buy tickets, enter venues, view results or watch video content, on mobile or desktop. The mobile app was downloaded by nearly 12,000 users on Android and iOS.
A dedicated section of the platform allowed athletes, National Olympic Committees and member federations to easily share customised video clips of their performance on their social media channels.
Hasan Arat, chair of the Coordination Commission for the European Games 2023, said: “Atos has a unique expertise in digital services for sports and major events. We are proud of the innovations we have implemented together to enhance the experience and the engagement of athletes and visitors at the European Games 2023, contributing to the great success of the event.”
