Los Angeles-based Platinum Digital utilises a blockchain digital ledger to track online transactions. The technology has evolved since the company’s founding in 2018, allowing Platinum Digital to secure tickets, tackle high prices and scalpers, and ensuring fans buy verified tickets. Platinum Digital can also set maximum price caps to safeguard high resale prices. 

Taylor Swift concert film smashes advanced sales record

AMC Theatres, a cinema chain in the US and worldwide, has revealed that the ‘Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour’ concert film has broken the record for single-day advance ticket sales revenue. Ahead of the advanced tickets going on sale, AMC bolstered its ticket server capacity to handle traffic at more than five times the previous record for the most ever tickets sold in an hour. The concert film will open at AMC Theatres on October 13.
